SBLOCCARE LA VODAFONE INTERNET KEY E172.
Come sappiamo,la Internet Key non è altro che una Huawei E172 che, contrariamente a quanto viene detto dai rivenditori e dagl'operatori Vodafone, è venduta già sbloccata!
Ciò che ne impedisce il funzionamento con gl'altri gestori è il software Vodafone contenuto all’interno.
Il modem,infatti, ha un firmware che gestisce il funzionamento della periferica e una dashboard che assegna l’operatore di utilizzo della periferica.
La migliore soluzione sarebbe quella di modificare la dashboard caricandone una no-brand, tuttavia this has the disadvantage of voiding the warranty and also in case of unexpected, not everyone knows "remedy".
We can only do so few steps in Windows (XP in this case, but the procedure is the same VISTA) to use our pen to any operator ;-):
• Insert the card that we want to use the Internet and Key run it make sure that Windows recognizes it correctly
• We go to START -> "CONTROL PANEL" -> "System" -> "Hardware" -> "Device Manager"
• In the menu by clicking the key item + " MODEM "
• Right-click on HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem and the menu that pops up after clicking 'own'
• Select the "Advanced" tab at the top right and enter the APN of our operator (*) in the "Extra initialization commands" and we click OK
We need to create a new Dial-up modem using the Internet as Key:
Come in "CONTROL PANEL", then "Network Connections" and then "Create a new connection."
Choose "Internet connection" -> "Set up my connection manually" -> "Connect using Dial-up modem" and enter the preferred name and phone number which is usually * 99 # or * 99 *** 1 #
